Movie Effect Tutorial


Note: (Tutorial only works with Adobe Photoshop)

Step 1

  • Open Image.


Step 2

  • Duplicate the background layer.
  • Go to Image>Adjustment>Hue/Saturation and set the saturation to -60.


Step 3

  • Go to Image>Adjustments>Exposure.
  • Settings: Exposure =  1, Offset =  -0.15, Gamma =  1.


Step 4

  • Duplicate layer.
  • Go to Filter>Blur>Lens Blur and follow the settings below.



Step 5

  • Add a layer mask and select it.
  • Get the brush tool and set the hardness to 25%.
  • Brush the part of the image you want to focus.


Step 6

  • Flatten the Image. Go to Layer>Flatten Image.
  • Go to Filter>Noise>Add Noise. Noise amount = 20%.


Step 7

  • Add black bars on top and bottom of photo.
